I use the HP Pavilion DV6 300TU Notebook. I use Windows 7 Professional 32 bit. I do not have the on-screen display software with this laptop, which will display when volume is changed using the control keys in my laptop. Can anyone tell me from where I can download the on-screen display application for HP Pavilion DV6 300TU compatible for Windows 7 Professional 32 bit?

Here is the most recent version, save it to the desk top and install it from there, not form a temporary folder. Restart after the installation is complete.

Please note in  order for the volume OSD to work you must have at least one Media Smart Program installed.

What is a Media Smart program? How do I find whether my notebook has the Media Smart program installed? For your information, my notebook is a DOS only notebook. I had purchased the Windows 7 Professional.

Media Smart programs are programs that play DVD's / Blu-ray movies. Video editing software, Web Cam, etc.

Here is where you can download and install them to get the Volume OSD to work. (You only need one along with the Menu {from my other post} to get it to function)

Because you machine was originally DOS, none of these things may work, if not you can try this. It works on its own with no Media Smart software.

It's from the link above and it's called the HP On-Screen Display Utility.

There is also another one that resembles an "Apple Computer" OSD, but I can't remember what it's called. I will find out for you.

 It's called 3RVX.
