HP Pavilion dv6-6c48tx
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hi,

I had to replace the hard drive on my HP Pavilion DV6-6C48TX.

So I installed a fresh version of Windows 7 64Bit SP1 (on a hard drive in another computer)- then put it into this HP.

It booted fine. I installed Windows updates.

I installed the Chipset and Wifi drivers.

When I install the Switchable video drivers it says "This comupter does not meet the minmum requirements".

So, I tried installing the other Video driver. This installed, but when the PC rebooted it went to a black screen after the windows logo.

I think I should be using the switchable graphics? As my computer lists two cards in device manager.

Thanks in advance

This is a great location to get assistance! I read your post and see that you are having issues in installing the switchable graphics driver on your HP Pavilion DV6-6C48TX notebook. I would like to help you resolve this issue.

I understand that you are getting "this computer does not meet the minimum requirements error message while installing the switchable graphics driver" error message.

The error message can occur for multiple reasons:

  • You have the wrong driver.
  • The driver and the OS version don't match. Example: you cannot install a 64-bit driver on a 32-bit Operation System.

Click here to install the correct switchable graphics driver for windows 7 (64-bit).

Let me know how it goes.
