Good evening guys.
Well, I installed win 10 64bit, I'm facing this problem again and again with my HP laptop and Radeon HD 7600m.
When I had win 8 64bit, it was not the problem everything worked properly. since I updated to 8.1 64bit, I faced this problem, still not solved. Now I got win 10 64bit (home) still my Radeon doesn't work properly.
Alredy installed Crimson Edition 15.12, still laptop using HD Graphics 4000 as primary, when I trying to disable it from divace manager than windows start working on Microsoft Basic Display Driver.
From divace manager Both Video cards *Radeon 7600m and *HD Grapichs 4000 are working.
I don't know how to make my laptop work on Radeon instead HD Graphics, well of course all games work on HD Graphics, already tried from configuration switchable graphics (add application > set on high performance) still same.
I have no clue how to solve it, I won't reinstall win to 7 or 8, cause I wanna stay with 10, also I'm not the IT man, if some one have clue how to solve please explain step by step. Thanks

Hi @Fallout_2,
Thank you for your inquiry.
I grasp that you are having a difficulty with your switchable graphics. All was working well until you updated to Windows 8.1. You have now upgraded your system to Windows 10 and the issue remains. You do not wish to go back to Windows 8.
You have tried installing the Crimson Edition 15.12 driver without change.
I need to know the exact model of G7 notebook that you have so I can do some research.
How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?
I will wait for that information.

Hi @Fallout_2,
Thank you for the requested information.
When I checked the software and driver page for your notebook, Windows 10 is not a supported operating system.
As HP has not tested Windows 10 on this model of notebook the outcome is unknown and no drivers are posted.
I suggest you try this to get your switchable graphics working correctly.
Uninstall the Catalyst Control Center from Control Panel/ Programs
Uninstall both graphic drivers from Device Manager
Download and save the AMD driver for Windows 8.1 .
Install from the driver from the download as it will install both drivers (Intel and AMD) and the Catalyst Control Center.
Pavilion g7-2387eg Software and Drivers
If the issue remains, please repeat the above process, only this time when you install from the download choose compatibility mode.
Compatibility Mode ( from tenforums.com)
Please let me know if this helped.
Best of Luck!

Hi @Fallout_2.
Please try installing the driver from the HP website. Click on the software and driver link in my previous post to acquire it.
The driver packages contains the AMD and Intel drivers plus the Catalyst Control program.
If the issue remains, I suggest you do a recovery back to factory as Windows 10 is not a supported operating system.
Best of Luck!

Hi @Fallout_2,
Thank you for the update.
If you have not had Windows 10 for too long you should have the option to return to your previous operating system.
Recovery options in Windows 10, (from windows.microsoft.com)
If that is not available here is a link to assist you with doing a recovery back to factory.

Please let me know the outcome.
