Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

laptop cd not load windows.only troubleshoot & shutdown options were there. no trouble shoot worked.Error message was "d0000452".

After diagnose got HDD Short DST Failure With 24 letter code......    UC2BGX-778LM-XD7V6J-60V303.

searched HP forum & most probably i need to replace the HDD.

 

But i have no recovery disk.    Can i download it from HP website with product ''serial no'' ?

 

How can i get back my preloaded original (genuine) Windows 8.1???????,..i have registered it through outlook.com

 

how can I recover my data???

 

please help me soon.

If you did not make you Recovery Media -which you would have been prompted to do- you can contact HP Support in your area to order it:  >>Contact HP

 

Recovering data on a dying hard drive depends on how much life is left in it. You should be able to install it in a USB HDD Enclosure or USB HDD Adapter and plug it into a usb port of a working machine. The machine will detect it as another hard drive to browse and copy files off to host machine.
