Product: HP-15 Notepad
Operating System: FreeDOS

Hi all, I bought HP-15-AY542TU laptop yesterday which came with FreeDOS.  Later I discussed with customer care and they said that FreeDOS is not an Operating system.  So, Need to install Windows now.  I have a Dell Desktop and got Reinstallation CD of Dell for Microsoft, Windows and XP Professional Service Pack2.  Could you please advise if I can install Windows in my HP-15-AY542TU laptop using Dell's reinstallation CD?  If so, can you please advise the procedure?

Hi,


You cannot transfer Windows OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) licence to any other machine.

I would suggest you buy new Windows 10 licence for your new notebook:
