New install, product seems to work fine as a switch but cannot ping or web access 192.168.2.10 (default address). Its as if it is not there.
Seems to be acting like a dumb or unmanaged switch.
Power on/off no effect, cannot be seen from any PC on the network.
Any suggestions ?

Hi Hambone36,
Have you found the solution for your problem?
I have 2 units of HP 1810-48G switch and experiencing the same thing. It is working like an unmanaged switch but i cannot access it's webadmin.
Worst thing is, i don't even know both of its ip addresses and when i scan the network using "Advanced IP Scanner", no indication of the switches found.
Please help, anyone?

Nope, nada, silence.
However I am convinced it is not a switch issue rather a Windows issue. I contacted the reseller and he suggested that its is to do with the adapater settings accessible from windows control panel under network settings. He mentioned fixing its IP address in Internet Protocol Version 4 or 6 ie TCP/IPv6 or TCP/IPv4 but I have no clue what this means so defer to the more learned people out there for assistance.
Thanks for a long awaited reply though...

i have found that its easiest to plug a laptop directly into the switch, and set a manual ip address of 192.168.2.11/255.255.255.0 for the laptop and then you should be able to access the management gui.
hope this helps
