  I have a hp laptop i'm working on for a retired couple , They dont like windows 8.1 that was on it they would like to go back to windows 7 they have a HP 2000-2d37CL

   I found post in support where someone with the same laptop asked for win 7 drivers the third link down that is listed for the other drivers is no longer working is there any way i could a working link

Hi:

 

You can use all of the W7 64 bit drivers and software from the HP 2000z-2a00 on that model, except the BIOS and firmware files.

For the wireless network adapter, you need this driver...

 

This package contains the driver installation package for the Qualcomm Atheros AR9000 Series wireless LAN Controller in the supported notebook models running a supported operating system.

In addition, you will need the smbus controller driver, which I have zipped up and attached below.

 

To install the driver, download and unzip the file to its folder.

 

Do not do anything with the files in the folder.

 

Go to the device manager and click on the smbus controller needing the driver.

 

Click on the driver tab.  Click on Update Driver.

 

Select the Browse my computer for driver software option, and browse to the driver folder you unzipped.

 

Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked and the driver should install/

 

Then restart the PC.
