Hi:

There is no info online regarding what model wireless card your notebook comes with.

Please post the hardware ID for the device you see listed in the device manager as a Network Controller, and I will post the link to the driver you need.

To find the hardware ID, click on the Network Controller and then click on the Details tab at the top of the network contoller window.

Now you will see a property drop down list and it will be set to Device description.

Drop down on that list and select the 2nd item (hardware ID's).

Post the top string of characters that you see in the window.

Hi,

There is device mentioned as " Network Controller" rather I can see Network Adapters under which I have installed realtek PCIe Family controller installed, that only producing the "Lan network adaptor" and wired Lan is working, below is the hardware id of same.

PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8136&SUBSYS_220D103C&REV_07

How ever I think Last time

MediaTek (Ralink) 802.11 b/g/n Wireless LAN Adapter Driver  sp66089.exe was working but the same driver is not working this time.

I can only see one network adaptor under the networks. Let me know if there is any other driver can help.

Hi:

Sounds like the wireless adapter has 'disappeared' from the notebook or you would be seeing either the Ralink wireless card where you see the Realtek ethernet adapter, or there would be a Network Controller listed under an Other Devices category.

The only suggestion I can offer would be to install the HP Connection Manager software, and see if you can use that to turn on the wireless card.

If that doesn't work, I don't know what else it could be other than the wlan card has died on you.

This package provides the HP Connection Manager for supported notebook models running a supported operating system.

Hey,

The solution was not stable, after working for 8 hours it got disconnected automatically and now I can't see the the WiFi adaptoer under the adaports list. By the way Ralink RT3290 802.11 bgn Wi-Fi Adapter is same (sp66089) tha didn't work initially and not working now, Even now I can't update it from internet as it's not listed as missing under adapters...

Please help if anyone have any idea.

I tried new driver given in below link but it also didn't work-
