Hi! I bought this HP 255 G5 without OS installed. Then I installed Windows 7 64bit. As I try, afte downloading it from HP site, to install vga driver ( http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp75501-76000/sp75974.exe ) , it installs quietly, I reboot, but in hardware devices VGA board still continue to be recognized as Standard VGA Board. Where I'm making a mistake ? Thanks a lot for answers!

That is the correct driver as posted on the support site. Please find the hardware ID of the display adapter:
We want to make sure you have an AMD video chip and we may have to walk you through a Manual or "forced" install of the driver.

Try the "minimal setup" direct from AMD here:

I have the same problem on an equal computer. Searching on google I found a DxDiag report from which it is deduced that the 15.301.2301.1002 version of the driver solves the problem and a READ ME file that shows that that driver version is in the HP file SP75628.exe, but I searched that file on HP sites without being able to find it.
I hope it help.

Good morning,
I resolved to install the driver found on internet on this SITE
There is no file configuration, it is installed by peripheral management, selecting the video card standard, updating the driver and pointing to that driver file just downloaded, now it seems ok.
