Hi, the HP advert for the HP 256GB SSD M.2 PCIe SSD (L3M57AA) hard drive suggests it is compatible with the Probook 6570b notebook.
If this is so, where is the M.2 connection in this notebook?
Or, in other words is it possible to fit this SSD to this particular notebook, and if so how?

You should read your manual here.

There does seem to be a conflict of information.
I have submitted it to the Moderators.
I do not want to give you any information that I'm not 100% sure of.

So, it would appear the HP advert claiming compatibility is actually both incorrect and misleading.

For the information of the forum please see below HP's further response to my query and my reply:

I understand from the case notes that there is a query regarding hard disk.
There is no option for M2 slot on this unit. For M2 slot please purchase a
new model which has one.
The sales team would guide regarding this issue.
Dear Sindhu,
Excuse me, this is a 3yr old top-of-range laptop! Are you seriously
suggesting that it is scrapped for a "new model" just because the hard drive
cannot be upgraded?
I draw to your attention that HP's advert for its 256GB SSD M.2 2260 PCIe
drive, includes the ProBook range. That has proved itself to be false and
misleading advertising.
If the motherboard of the ProBook range will not accept a hard drive upgrade
then HP should produce a modified board or adapter for purchase that will.
HP has a duty to support its previous customers.
Sincerely, Stephen
