HP 530

Hi,
I've got an HP 530 Notebook that I bought at auction.  It has NO Operating System on it.

It had Windows Vista Business on it new.  I have also purchased a Windows disk and Product Key.

Is there a way to get this up and running again?  What about drivers or a BIOS?  I can use a computer REAL well, but have no idea how to do all this...

I didn't know at the time that I bought it that it didn't have an OS on it.  ANY help is greatly appreciated.  I really want Win7 as it is better than 8 or 10.  I don't even know if this is capable of having those OS on it.

Any help is GREATLY appreciated!!!  Thanks!

Hi Smbdy,

Thank you for using HP products.

I am assuming you are having Windows Vista install in your HP 530 laptop.

Below is the HP 530 laptop Software and Driver website. The official Software & Driver are for Windows XP and Vista (32-bit).

If you wish to install Windows 7 OS on your laptop, you can check the Windows Update and it should give you all the necessary drivers you need. This is a good feature of Windows 7.

Hope this information helps to resolve your issue.

When you go to the page you state, it shows "No software or drivers are available for this product with the selected operating system. Please make a different selection, or visit the product homepage.  "

That is NO help.

NOW WHAT??

You need to select the Operating System (OS) and Version.

1. Operating System - Windows

2. Version - Windows XP (32-bit), Windows XP (64-bit) and Windows Vista (32-bit)

3. Click on "Change"

I've done that and it says that

No software or drivers are available for this product with the selected operating system. Please make a different selection, or visit the product homepage.

I have gone here and get nothing

I'm at a total loss.  I do NOT have Windows XP, or Vista.  It is a Windows 7 machine.

HELP!

HP doesn't support your notebook in Windows 7, so if you can connect to the internet, go to your programs menu and select the Windows Update program, let Windows 7 download all the latest drivers and updates for your system.

If you have already done that and still have missing drivers, then go to the link below which has the Windows Vista Business drivers for the various hardware components of your notebook. The Windows Vista drivers should work OK on your notebook.
