Hi, I just purchased an HP desktop with the Pentagon APXD1-DM Mini-ITX motherboard. Well, I got the PC second-hand it didn't seem to come equipped with it's own power supply. I'm just trying to figure out with power supply would work best with it, and where it should be plugged into the board. I tried a standard power supply, but it doesn't seem to have any inputs for a normal power supply. If a traditional power supply from any random PC (with a ful-sized board) can work, can anyone provide visual documentation of their full sized board and power supply, and where it's plugged into? All help is appreciated, if you need more information, I can provide that upon request. Thank you.

It apparently uses an external (laptop type) power supply. The connector is at the upper left corner if you orient the memory slots going veritcally on the right.

Need the model of the computer. Some of the HP desktops do use a proprietary power supply. The standard deesktop power supply is called ATX and is a 20 or 24 pin connector and then also most likely a 4-pin connector called P4.
ATX motherboard plug and power connector:
Some mini-ITX boards come with an adapter cable:

P4:

It is the HP P2. The PSU you listed -is- my power supply, but the motherboard doesn't seem to have my 20 or 24 pin slot, nor does it seem to have the 4 pin slot. It also has no adaptor cable, to my knowledge. All cables coming out of the motherboard are connected to other things.
