Here are step by step directions to help out with this if you cant understand from the others that said something similar.

Literally, step by step, and anyone should be able to do this.

1. Click the windows start button

2. in the text box where it says "search programs and files", Type run

3. Click on the run option, under the program header

4. Once the run box opens, type msconfig

5. Click the tab that says "Start Up"

6. Scroll through and find where it says "HP Advisor".  Uncheck the box

7. Hit "ok"

8. Restart

thanks1 im hoping this one works....

that is a pesky little dashboard.

There is an easier way...

On your HP Advisor Dock, locate the drop down list and open the PC Dashboard. Search for Preferences or Settings and click that icon. On that pop-up screen you will find the option to Launch Advisor PC Dock at every boot. Remove the check mark from that option and the HP Advisor will no longer launch when you start your computer.

HP Recommended

To keep the HP Dock from popping up at start up in Windows 7, Click PC Advisor and goto settings at the bottom left of the screen.  Uncheck the "Launch Advisor PC Dock at every boot" and then click apply.  PC Dock won't Launch at next boot.

HP Recommended

To be precise go into the PC Dock select HP Advisor > Dashboard > Preferneces and deselect "Launch Advsor PC Dock at every boot"
