I called them, first the guy was very ignorant and was not listening to my reasoning at all after he found out that my laptop is out of warranty.
I got the Immitent HDD error ( predicted failure)
He said my HDD should be 640. I said i checked the total HDD was like 50 gb less then it was supposed to, so I said maybe there was something wrong with the HDD when I first got it. He said i should have called him when it was still in warranty.
I said does it matter about warranty when the HDD I got was wrong. He ignored me and said there is nothing we can do repeadetly. THEN HE HUNG UP ON ME!
THIS WILL BE THE LAST TIME I BUY AN HP PRODUCT.
I AM A STUDENT AND NEED MY LAPTOP FOR SCHOOL> IM GONNA TELL ALL MY FRIEND TO NEVER BUY AN HP PRODUCT. RIGHT NOW IM PACKING 2 HP PRINTERS I HAVE AND RETURNING THEM TO BEST BUY AND I TOLD ALL MY RELATIVES>
I MAY GO AS FAR AS MAKING A WEBSITE TO TELL MY STORY OF WHAT A RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE HP HAS>
NOTE: EVEN WORST< I TRIED CALLING THEM BACK AND NOW THERE NUMBER IS COMING BUSY>>.
I HATE HP SO BAD NOW I CAN'T EVEN EXPLAIN.

They are graded on the time they spend on calls and instructed to stop the call if there is just no more they can do. It is a tough thankless job that pays very little. I always try to put myself in their shoes although I will admit getting a little testy with them a few times. If the warranty is out there is literally nothing they can do for you.

What if the warranty is not out? I bought my computer from HP.com and it started crashing within a few weeks. I've spent countless hours staying home, reseating hard drives per chat requests, watching drives get replaced one after another, etc etc. Can't even get people to even call me back now. Its obvious they hope you eventually give up, but for a $1K+ computer I really need the computer fixed or a refund to buy another one by now (work is suffering). Have tried phone, chat, and email support. Are there any other options to get to an USA based call center that may have different call scripts to work off of? I realize their job sucks, which is why I'd like to talk to someone who may care, though that may be being too hopeful?

HP employees told me that HP sends North American jobs away because Americans are lazy and don't wanna work nights and after 9-to-5 hours. Anyone who wants to support their future or past job being sent away to a communist China buy an HP product outright!

Aahh, no wonder those unprofessional untrained oversea "support" people (often with attitudal issues) are dragging their feet at every word and they go to consult something every two minutes for 10 minutes, one guy returned after 20 minutes! Don't bother buying Hewlett-Packard unless your time is valueless to you, otherwise stay away from HP products. I bought 4 HP products in the past - all failure. No more. I promise! Never again! Now read my username and take a deep breath.

I spent 2 hours and seven people
no one cares at HP for customers
an error was made in purchasing a $20 ink cartarage and HP would rather loose a customer
rather then help resolve a problem
The ink Cartarage 564XL has two boxes
the one I bought does not work
HP says too bad Your problem not ours
Is this the service you want from your printer supplier
Use only HP :smileymad:- if you make a mistake too bad
how sad
HP you are impossible to do busy and take care of your customers.

I bought a ProBook 4545s almost a year ago. It didn't work correctly right out of the box. First the screen went dark and a restart was all that would light it back up. The touchpad never worked correctly. Tap, Tap, Tap, over and over, finally it closes 2 windows you don't want it to. Won't scroll one time then you touch it and it flips all the way to the bottom of the page.
Started with online chat which just made me more and more angry. They were making me repair my own NEW computer and nothing they told me ever worked. Then I asked for a supervisor, then his supervisor. I called every number I could find but always ended up in India with someone speaking so fast and not in English that I couldn't tell what they were saying.
3 times they sent a tech to my home to replace parts that even I knew wouldn't help. They didnt change a thing about the performance. The third tech had one part that had not been replaced and both parts that had already been replaced. Didn't fix any of the problems.
Now, almost a year later, after replacing enough parts to build a new computer, plus me working on it, they said they would replace it with a "refurbished" one. I told him I already had a refurbished one, I bought a NEW one and it hasn't worked since I cut the tape on the box. He agreed to send me a new one. UPS came, opened the box and it's a used one with rubber feet missing on the bottom. A Windows 8 sticker on the back but it's loaded with Windows 7 Professional. My original was Windows 7 Home Premium. This is nearly a year later. Touchpad still doesn't work also.
My cell phone bill was $350.00 higher than normal when I got it this morning from all the minutes I wasted on the phone with them last month. I can buy a laptop for that much!
Now I have over $800.00 in a used computer and a year of grief under my belt.
The "new" one is all configured wrong. Nothing worked correctly. I've spent the last 3 days installing virus software and removing viruses. The screen went black the first day just like the original one. It has absolutely no software on it like the original did - completely empty. Those "professional" referbishers are really good.
Yesterday I spent an hour on the phone with someone else in India just to get Internet Explorer 10 to work. They couldn't get it to work and had to downgrade to IE-9. Now I keep getting pop-ups telling me to upgrade to 10. Some web sites won't even work with IE-9 or it's something wrong in the computer. I had to download Firefox just to get some sites to load but about half the places I buy from online won't take my password with either browser.
I can turn it off, fully charged, and when I go back to turn it on the battery is dead. It's a total piece of cr@p.
I spent one day searching the Internet for a U.S. branch to call for help. I actually got an American once but was quickly switched to India. As far as I know there is no one to call that cares. I even had to argue with them to get a warantee on the "new" computer. When I called Tech support the serial number was no good and not in their system. Before I turned my original one in the serial number dissapeared.
I have no idea what will happen to this computer next but I know it won't last long.
Do NOT buy Hewlett Packard. Total junk with no support.
