Hello,

For each sequence of beeps, it is repeating what the failure is. What you need to do is ensure whether it is 11, 12 or 13 beeps. I'm not sure. My hearing isn't that well at all from rockets and aircraft stuff. Once you figure out how many beeps it is, you can look it up in the beep codes.

Hello,

Good day! What you have to do is to get a pen and paper and then listen to the beeps and write down each as a slash as they're beeping before each pause ends the cycle. Then you have to figure out whether the beeps are long or short, or if the beeps are high or low in tone. Listen again to the beeps, and if some of the beeps are short, cross that particular beep or slash it so that it looks like a small 't' or an 'x', If the beeps are low, slash that particular slash near the base so it looks like an upside-down 'T' or an 'L' for low. Once a pattern is determined, we can use it to match up against the beep code table to identify what might be causing the issue. Then refer to:

 http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02222922

Look @ the beginning of this document where it states: It is normal for the computer to make one or two short beeps during the startup process.  However, if the computer beeps and Windows does not start properly, a more serious hardware problem exists.  The most common problems that cause beeping sounds are--You need to read from here down, okay?

i have waited 5 min and it kept doing the same code and the same pitch of long short short i have the usb plugged in and i hold Windows+B on startup until it starts beeping with no screen on, which is normal. but at the beginning of the vid it changes pitch and all that stuff and it doesn't do that it does the same thing.....Again..Again..Again..Again.......GRRRRRR!!!!!

EDIT:

I just look at it more closesly with the beeps and all of a sudden i think it means this:

"2 short beeps"       "Floppy diskette or compact disc not detected"|

i think  it means that my drive isint compatible at all but when i had my floppy it stopped beeping when it was detected........... i wounder if i could use floppy ill look at the size of the files........

EDIT 2:

doesent fit all the files seems like too much i looked at the files on the thumbdrive it about 10mb so no.

is my usb not compatible my format is fat32 did i use the wrong format and did i name the partition wrong (HP_TOOLS).......should i try phenox crisys didk with usb thumbdrive because it worked with floppy and sat there thinking it would work......sigh.........hopefully.............................

Hello,

I see that it is going nowhere. You have to look @ the Phoenix beep codes, okay? It is the only way that you are going to resolve this dilemma. If you don't know what the missing step is, or what the beeps are telling you, you'll never get that laptop started. The code could mean: 'Press f2 to Enter Setup', or not. You have to match the code to the beeps, no way around this.

Hello,

Now you're getting somewhere! Good! Have you replaced the cmos batteriy? This could very well mean that the cmos battery is dead, so replace it with a new one and then try to reload the bios again, okay?

i looked at a new website and this is what it said

One long beep followed by two short beeps indicates that there has been a checksum error. This means that there is some kind of motherboard issue. Replacing the motherboard should fix this problem.

Hello,

It has to be replaced. It's more likely than not why nothing is working. It has to be replaced, then it will all be gravy and downhill! Yes!
