HP Chromebook 14-q020nr
Chrome OS

Back in May 2015 screen just went blank white.  No messages or anything.  Hard reboot holding down keys did nothing.  Had to send in to HP for repair. They said its a known issue.

Now just today it happened again.  Same problem.  But computer is now 1 month out of warranty.

Does or has anyone had this problem?

Not sure I even want to have it fixed at this point.  It looks to be a recurring problem and eventually the cost of repairs will be more than the computer itself.

First of all let me say...i FIXED THIS MYSELF..I followed a video on opening up and removing the LCD screen.  I found out that the connection was loose..thats all..

But here is the deal.  I think when i sent the laptop for repair once before..they guys probably damaged it a bit.

My warranty expired last month, and my 90 warranty on the first repair expired last month.

So I have no coverage.  When i called HP support to explain that the previous fix did not work..well needless to say...

they could not help me, and said a repair would cost $277 or so...just about what I paid for this thing new.

you know in a case like that, they should offer to fix it since they did not do it right the first time.

that said...I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER HP COMPUTER AGAIN IN MY LIFE.
