HP Compaq Presario CQ60-120EB
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

Hello,

I got a HP Compaq Presario CQ60-120EB from a friend who wants me to help him downgrade or recover his old Bios version. He successfully upgraded his Bios and since then his laptop stated have alot of issues. He brought it for me to try to help but i havent been able either.

The Origina Bios on the Laptop was a Version F.32 and he updated it to version F.65 and since then the laptop cant pick up sounds any longer, wifi goes off and on despite the fact that all up to date drivers are install.

Please, can you help me locate the prevous Bios driver and direct me how to recorver the computer to its former state?

At the momet windows 8.1 is installed on the Notebook.

Thanks in advance

The link is to the drivers and software page for the laptop:  http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/Compaq-Presario-CQ60-Notebook-PC-series/3768152/mode...

As you can see, the only older BIOS versions are F63A and F52A.

Thanks for the information. As you can read from my post, i had already gone to the  drivers page to verify the various Bios version. The Insyde Bios V F65 was downloaded from that same link you sent to me. However, on the Bios section of that page i didnt see any other Bios versions besides the F65 A as you stated .

As I mentioned earlier, the older version of Bios that was on the Notebook was a Version F.32 .We have an inventary of the whole notebook including the Bios versions that was done with AIDA64. What wasnt done was a backup of the older version to fall back incase things go wrong.

I appreciate your help very much but if you can  tell  me how to fall back to the previous Bios version will be of great help.

Best regards

There is really no way to actually rollback to a previous BIOS version.  You install versions individually.

So basically, you would download the older BIOS version you want and install that one.

Can't help you with versions older than what is posted on the Support page.  I don't have access to any other versions.
