I've just purchased and received my HP ZR2240w Flat Panel Monitor ... Professional Series.
I went for this model (and series) because I was very impressed with the feature build and capabilities of this monitor.
There were many other monitors on the market to choos from (art prices as low as $100. or more cheaper but it was the HP monitor that I wanted. I'm a professional photographer and the work that I deliver to my clients as well as that which I will now be using for my new web page must reflect the true beauty of the photographs ... sharpness, tonality, true color renditions, etc.
It was these capabilities of this monitor that determined my decision. Price never entered into the decision.
What a disappointment to receive this beautiful equipment only to find out that one of the factors in my decision is not available to me. The featured HP Display Assistant software ... designed to help facilitate ease of the setup of the program features.
The reason being that the software is not compatible with Mac computers ... only for Windows.
This really is quite a shock to me ... considering that the graphic arts industries ... designers, photographers, etc are primarily Mac users ... and the leading producer... Adobe ... of software programs for the graphic arts makes for Windows AND Mac.
So, other than that ... I love the Monitor and will really enjoy using it.
As my mom taught me "In life you have to learn to accept the pitter patter of little defeats."
