This morning I suddenly found my touchpad is not working. It was working normally last night.
Machine: HP ELITEBOOK 8570W
OS: Windows 8.1 64-bit ver
Its current state is: no respond upon touching it; double-touching up the upper left courner also no response(if it's working normally, the little light will light up AND THEN the touchpad will stop working coresspondingly.)
I have tried following methods:
Restart the computer;
Reinstall the touchpad's driver to initial state;
Update the touchpad's driver to latest version;
Download the sp51647 driver, install it(failed);
In Device Manager, I can still see the Synaptics SMBus TouchPad under the Mouse and Other Pointer Devices category. The manager says the touchpad is working normally.
* What I suspect to be the reason is that, this morning I started the laptop without connecting the AC adapter but only on battery and the voltage is too low for the touchpad to function normally.
Any help will be appreciated. Thank you all in advance.
