I used this link:
http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03535285
The Wireless key on my laptop is glowing amber, but I can't figure out how to make it blue again. I have only ever used Wifi on my laptop, at work, school, etc. I've never had a problem until now.
I also used the troubleshooting tip using Windows 8 where you search and then look in the airplane mode section and now I only have Airplane Mode and Bluetooth in that section, not Wifi.
Can someone help PLEASE?
Thank you!!

It would help if you identified your notebook with its complete product name or number and the wireless adapter's PCI\Ven code orr manufacturer and model name.
- see This HP web document if you don't how to locate the model number and\or product number.
you can reinstall the wireless adapter's driver via the HP Recovery Manager. The following images were made for previous threads. Find your wireless adapter amongst the available drivers listed in your notebook's recovery manager's available driver packages.

Thank you for your help! I had to uninstall and reinstall the drivers for the wireless. Your advice was spot on!! Thank you again! Quick question...did I do something to cause this error? I'm not the most tech savvy, but I want to make sure I'm not doing something wrong that would make this happen again.
Thank you!!

Probably not. Sometimes drivers just become corrupt on their own with any help. It is good to hear that your notebook is up and running again on the internet with wireless again. If you are happy so are we! 🙂
