Hi..everyone I tried all the things in this message board and none of it has worked for me. I am still getting the following.
Device Type: Other Devices
Manufacturer: Unknown
Location: PCI bus 70, device 6, function 3
Driver Status:
The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)
There is no driver selected for the device information set or element.
Please help!!!!

Please post the hardware ID for the device if it has one.
If you don't know where to find that ID, please see the info at the link below.

I have tried to install Windows 8 on my 8540w and I got problem with thre drivers

Hi, Anders:
You need to install the W7 driver for the card reader.
You should be able to use the W8 driver for the fingerprint reader.
If you want to use the fingerprint reader you probably need to use the Protect Tools Security Manager suite from the 8570w.
