HP Elitebook 840/850 g3
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Like many here, I have a LOT of El itebook 840 G1s (and associated power supplies) and was really bummed when I got an 840 G3 and found out the power supply connector for the G3s is smaller (so none of my MANY G1 power supplies will power my G3).

Based on the power specs of the G1s and G3s (they do adjust/allow for a range of input DC volts) , as well as the fact that the G3s use the same docking station, seems this is JUST  physical change. I.E.-If the G1 PS cords did fit the G3s, that would be totally OK (no risk of failure due to minior difference in PS voltage)

So, Is there an inexpensive little cable adapter to enable all the 840/850 G1 power supply connectors to my G3's?

Even the exact physical specs for the two different connectors would help in the search for a short little cable adapter.
