HP Envy x360 15" (15-ee0504na)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello everyone,

I am having the following problem with my Envy 15 laptop - The privacy button does switch camera on, but the lens remains blocked by built-in cover.

To begin with, device was not mechanically damaged and the only things installed since last time the camera was working fine were windows updates and BIOS update via HP support assistant. (Current BIOS ver: F.18).

Thank you all in advance for any advice,

All the best,

You can use your finger to slide that "door" to the right or left side.

Don't know whay you mean by saying "door". This is 2020 model, it does not have physical sliding door, the only thing you can do is to press the killswitch button, next to power button.
