Hi there,

I have got HP HDX 16 model : x16-155EE with 4 GB RAM. i checked the ram on the laptop i found 2 piece of RAM type DDR2 and each one is 2 GB.

My question now is it possible to upgrade my RAM to 6 or 8 GB?

I cannot find the model on the HP site, are you sure this is the correct model number, see this document to find it

General answers.

You have to be running a 64bit OS to install over 4gb memory.

Most laptops have only 2 memory slots, so you would need to order two 3gb or 4gb memory modules to replace the factory installed modules.

We need the exact model number to determine if it supports over 4gb memory.

This is the closest model I could find

Thanks for you reply.

Regard the model number i took from the laptop, and my windows is Vista 64 bit came with the laptob.

I asked few computer shops regards the the RAM in my laptop and all of them came with same answer which say that i can't upgrade 2GB DDR2 RAM in 4GB in one slot. My laptop have got only 2 slots and each one have 2GB of DDR2 RAM.

Now i want to upgrade my RAM is that possible.

Regard the model on HP website it's there.

I found your service manual here

It should have basic instructions on how to replace the modules, now you need to find compatible memory for your model, I suggest these two websites that guarantee compatibility
