Notified by HP Support Assistant to load important update HP Hotkey Support 5. Update downloaded and says it has installed. However; everytime HP Support Assistant starts up, it notifies me that Important Update HP Hotkey Support 5 needs to be loaded. Is there a problem with this update. How can I confirm if it has been loaded so that I can delete the message to install it?

Welcome to the HP Community Forum.
HPSA may just be stuck -- or perhaps the patch really did not install.
Here is the patch:
Download the patch, install it -- if the patch is already installed, it will let you know and you can abort it.
================================================
You can switch off the constant reminder in the HPSA -- and you can set your HP Support Assistant to Notify so it won't surprise you with Updates when you are "not looking":
- Set HPSA to Notify
- Set HPSA to NEVER allow it to Update your BIOS
Open HPSA > Updates and TuneUps > Check for Updates > Check the List >>
If that Hot Key Update has snuck back into the List again > Click on it >> Set to Ignore / Hide
Click the Kudos Thumbs-Up to say Thank You!
And...Click Accept as Solution when my Answer provides a Fix or Workaround!
I am pleased to provide assistance on behalf of HP. I do not work for HP.

Dragon-Fur (Is that right???),
After downloading the patch and then running the application it turns out that that patch had already been installed by using the HPSA method. Looks like HPSA did not recognise that the patch had been installed successfully.
Thanks for your help.

Dragon-Fur (still sounds funny......),
As a new forum user, how does this Kudos thing work? And, what is it? Do I merely click on the Thumbs-Up icon to activate, or is there another way to activate.
