My HP DV5-1235DX Laptop needed a new Charger.  The original Charger was a 65 watt - 18.5 volt - 3.5 amp.  I called HP to purchased a new Charger and HP recommended one and I ordered it.  What they sent was a 90 watt - 19 volt - 4.75 amp Charger.  Is this OK?  Will it fry my battery?  Will it take-out any computers components?  Need some help here, I'm not comfortable with plugging it in.

You can safely go ahead and use the 90W adaptor for the laptop. It would not cause any damages to the laptop.

Check the laptop power adaptor compatibility chart at below link
