Hi,
You can do this as follows.
Shut down the notebook. Tap away at the esc key as you power on to enter the Start-up Menu, then select f10 to enter the Bios Menu. Under the Security tab, you should find the option to change the power-on password - enter the existing code when prompted, then for the new code just leave the field blank and hit enter. Do the same when asked to confirm this. Save the settings as you exit the bios menu.

This is case sensitive. Third character is lower case "L"

We pulled out the HP Mini 110 today so my son could use it and now it has a bios password. I do not recall setting a password and the computer was in the attic for about one year.
I get Fatal Error... System Halted.
