Elitebook 8470P
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Help.. in my device manager... the HP HP Mobile data Protection Sensor says code 48... please help me find the right driver for this. I have been having BSOD i don't know if that is the cause. 

Win 10 1909 x64 version
EliteBook 8470P.

Hi:

 

See if this driver works...

 

7.0.2.1 (July 13, 2018) - sp88981.exe

 

Note: First uninstall ANY old version of the driver.

 

Run the above driver, once done go into the device manager, and manually update the driver here (select the accelerometer.inf in the expanded folder).

 

To manually install the driver, click on the 3d Driveguard device needing the driver.  Click on the driver tab.

 

Click on Update driver.  Select the Browse my computer for driver software option and then at the bottom of that window, select the 'Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.'

 

Click on Have Disk, and browse to C:\SWSetup\sp88981\base\accelerometer (setup information file).

 

Click next, and the driver should install.

 

Then restart the PC.
