Hi what’s the Maximum Ram Limit For My HP PAVILION DV6, WINDOWS 10 64 BIT, i5-2430M CPU@2.40GHZ,

SAMSUNG Ram SLOT1- 2GB,

SLOT 2- 4GB

Total 6 GB. IT Takes Very Long time to Start and Load Apps. I want to upgrade. THANKS

Hi:

 

In your model, you can install 2 x 8 GB of memory for a total of 16 GB.

 

Here is the link to the service manual...Chapter 1, page 4 has the memory upgrade info.

The Crucial memory report lists compatible memory for a similar dv6 notebook with a 2nd gen core processor and this is the memory they recommend.

You can buy this memory in the UK by changing the country flag at the upper right side of the webpage.
