Hi.
I am planning to purchase the HP Pavilion 10 TouchScreen Laptop and I was wondering what version the Windows 8 is. Microsoft Store doesn't give any listing, neither does Amazon nor some other online retailers. Microsoft Support didn't sound confident about the laptop has.
Just wanted to know which bit version the laptop has.
Regards
San

Ok.
Now I have another question. Since this laptop doesn't have an optical drive, what would be the steps to restore the OS? While HP offers a way for USB backup drive, I would like to know if there's something I can do at home that would help me make a restore CD/USB?

Hi San,
You can create Recovery Media on a usb flash drive - see the HP document on the following link.
Creating Recovery Media - Windows 8
You can then use this to reinstall the operating system or you can use the Recovery Partition on the Hard Drive - for details of the recovery options, see the following document
