Hi, today as I was trying to replace the hdd of my laptop and the connector of the keyboard on the motherboard came off. I asked some techs and they told me I need to replace the whole mobo. Is it possible that I have to do that for one small component? Can HP sell me the component to have it soldered? (Or can they do that?

Nowadays they don't sell piece and piece. You have to buy the whole thing.
