Even after all this time, the september driver and the january driver and still no luck in getting this fixed.  The jan driver upgrade showed a nice list of all the wireless access points for all of 5 mins then when I tried to connect to the home router it then decided not to show any more after that.

My housemate has another model of HP, she got a win 10 update that did the same thing to the wireless adaptor, it would not detect any signals.  Knowing about this problem I was able to roll back the intel wireless driver and suddenly all was well with her HP.  Now she is too scared to update any windows updates at all which is a potential security risk.  Well done big corps MS and HP, well done.

I do not have time to roll back to windows 8.1 I have better things to do with my life.  Big corporates have made their profit having sold to mugs like me who have bought this pile of sh**, it is not fit for purpose that a laptop can be sold where the wireless does not work with the OS that the MS gods are almost forcing everyone to upgrade to.

Going back to windows 8.1 makes no difference.  I went back to factory settings and the wifi is detecting no networks.  Updating driver for the wifi made no difference.

I now have to go back to the retailer under warranty.

Retailer restored operating system, not sure how because I did an HP recovery from the recovery partition.  Now all working at windows 8.1.  I then restored a system image I had made just after upgrading to windows 10, so far all good, I notice the driver is still v17 dated april 2015.  Have used double driver to backup the drivers in case a new driver update comes and zaps my wireless again!
