I noticed the new BIOS (F.58) looks the same as the old one. The T9300 chip I'm going to install supports Virtualization but I did not see a virtualization category in the BIOS. Will one show up when the chip is installed or will virtualization work automatically?

Hi:
I believe that the setting will appear after you install the processor, and then you'll have to enable VT by changing the new BIOS setting to Enabled.
My dv6810us with a Turion processor that supports VT has a setting and I had to enable it.

This is a little bit off topic, but I took the 2.5 sata drive out with the Vista OS and tried to boot it as an external HDD and got a blue screen. I expected that to happen, but I have tons of Linux distros that I use off of external HDD's. Do you have any idea why Windows OS's cannot boot externally?

Well the new processor is installed and running beautifully! Virtualization was enabled automatically and my machine is faster than ever and about 3 degrees cooler. (There was a nice sized clump of dust near the exhaust fan). I;d have to say the whole process took about 4 1/2 hours, but I spent a good 75 minutes on two stubborn screws that did not want to come out. Otherwise it was definitely worth the money, time and effort for the upgrade. Thanks a lot for all the great advice here.
