HP Pavilion dv7-1260us What are the indicator lights on the front edge of the case?

An indicator light is blinking on my HP Pavilion.

The Off/On symbol is first, a lightning bolt symbol is next, and the disk drive symbol is last.

What does the blinking lightning bolt indicate?

Hello TrainingCounsel, welcome to the HP Forums.

It appears that you have some blinking LED's on your notebook. I will try to help you with this.

To answer your question, the lightening bolt is your battery light. It blinking (usually an amber color) indicates it's low and needs to be charged.

As you mention having other blinking LED's with that, I will provide you this document just in-case it fits you're overall issue: Blank Screen LED Error Codes.

Appreciate that.  However, my led lightning bolt appears to be signalling me that the battery is fully charged.  It stops when I unplug from AC, and does not restart when I later reconnect.

Is there an online version of the operations manual for this model HP?
