I did a clean install and then realize I am now missing drivers. I did a little checking around on the forum, but I'm unsure what I need.I am running Windows 7x64 on my Pavilion g7-1260us.

The steps I completed

(START)>>type in search bar (Device Manager) and Other devices was already drop down with yellow warning symbols next to: Ethernet Controller, Network Controller, PCI Device, PCI Simple Communications Controller, SM Bus Controller.

These are the drivers I need but the links don't point to them. Are the links out of date?

Hi, @sajohn :

Yes, the webpages were redesigned a while back and most links from a year ago are no good.

If you have the same model notebook and are missing the above drivers for those ID's, here they are...

Ethernet Controller:

This package provides the Realtek Local Area Network (LAN) Driver that enables the Realtek Network Interface Card (NIC) Chip in supported notebook models that are running a supported operating system.

File name: sp55031.exe

Network Controller:

This package contains the driver installation package for the Ralink Wireless LAN Controllers in supported notebook models that are running a supported operating system.

File name: sp57538.exe

PCI Device:

This package contains the driver that enables the Realtek Card Reader in supported notebook models that are running a supported operating system. The card reader enables users to read from or write to supported removable storage cards, which are typically used in digital cameras, digital music players, and cellular phones.

File name: sp55030.exe

PCI Simple Communications Controller:

This package provides the Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI) Driver for the supported notebook models and operating systems. The Intel Management Engine Interface enables communication between the host operating system and the Intel Management Engine firmware.

File name: sp52794.exe

SM Bus Controller:   Note:  Install this driver first and reboot.

This package contains the Intel Chipset Installation Utility and Driver for supported notebook models and operating systems. This utility enables the operating system to show the correct name for the installed Intel hardware in the Microsoft Windows Device Manager.

File name: sp52791.exe
