Hi,
Can you post back with the full Model No. and Product No. of your g7 series notebook - see Here for a guide on locating this information.
Also let me know which version of Windows you're using - ie Windows 7, Windows 8 etc.
Regards,
DP-K

Hi Voiceyourmind,
I understand you have connected your Web-Cam to your HP desktop.
Follow these steps with the camera on and attached USB.
Did you check for updates with your system?
To check for updates
-
Open Windows Update by swiping in from the right edge of the screen (or, if you're using a mouse, pointing to the lower-right corner of the screen and moving the mouse pointer up), tapping or clicking Settings, tapping or clicking Change PC settings, and then tapping or clicking Update and recovery.
-
Tap or click Check now, and then wait while Windows looks for the latest updates for your PC.
-
If updates are found, tap or click Install updates.
Read and accept the license terms, and then tap or click Finish if the update requires it.
It will update with the camera attached USB and it should find the drivers.
Let me know if that helps. If you require further assistance I would need your current operating system and model of computer.
Thanks

Thank you.
Let me clear up my problem.
I have a built in YOUCAM and it just stopped working.
I have since deleted the driver and can't get that back, when I did have it installed and checked for updates the system always said the webcam was not on / enabled but it was.
This happen one other time and I did a system restore but I can't do that now as the restores don't go back far enough.
I have also been getting blue screens. I just bought REGPRO and that helped the frequent blue screen but I still get that and now unable to go way back for the camera to work I am stuck with no built in webcam working and no driver for it.
Any help. I got this pc in a big part for the webcam.

Hi Voiceyourmind,
Other than connect your Camera all the steps in the previous post still apply.
You could also try to download and install the Hp Support Assistant.
http://h18021.www1.hp.com/helpandsupport/hp-self-support.html
I would need your model and current operating system to assist further.
Hope it helps.
Thanks
