Product: HP ProBook 4520s Notebook PC
OS: Windows 7 64-bit
Helo,
I would like to upgrade the CPU to my notebook. It comes with "Intel i5 m460" - 2 cores. Is it possible to replace it with a 4 core CPU for example "Intel Core i7-720QM Mobile Processor" or "Intel Core i7-740QM Mobile Processor"? Is there a rule of thumb to check which CPU could be upgraded and with wich one? What would be the best fitted CPU (to i7 family - 4 cores) upgrade for my situation?
Many thanks in advance,
Tom

Unfortunately the answer to that question is a no.
The best compatible optional CPU is the Intel Core i7-640M and it is has two physical cores capable of running four threads.

I am sorry, but to get your issue more exposure I would suggest posting it in the commercial forums since this is a commercial product. You can do this at http://h30499.www3.hp.com/hpeb/ .
I hope this helps.
