Hi guys,

This is my first post here on the forum. I just wanted to get some help with my wireless network card.

Long story short, I have bought Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6205 (supports 30Mbps and 5Ghz) but as soon as I changed it I got "104 Unsupported wireless card detected..." I haven't bought it from HP. Cany anyone help me to find the right card? Your help would be really appreciated.

P.S I live in Europ/Sweden if that helps.

Hi:

You can order it new from HP in Sweden at the link below.

Or get them used at the link below...

Make sure you see the part number on the actual photo of the card if you buy from eBay.

Hi:

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.

You can only install one of the wireless cards listed in chapter 3, page 44, and they must have the HP part number on them or they won't work.

You can order from HP in Sweden or on eBay (maybe much cheaper to get a used but tested HP card) by querying by the part number only.

Thanks for the reply Paul!

How does this HP Part Number look like?

Did you mean these cards?

Broadcom BCM94313HMG2L 802.11 b/g/n 1 x 1 Half MiniCard 593836-001

Intel Centrino Wireless-N 1000 802.11 b/g/n 1×2 WLAN module 593530-001

Intel Centrino Advanced-N6200 802.11 a/b/g/n 2x2 WLAN module 572509-001

You're very welcome.

Yes. Those cards. The HP part # is the 572509-001  for example.

The BCM 4322 (HP Part # 582564-002) is a dual band card. The 4313 is a single band card.

Thanks once more! 🙂

I want to buy the third card (from my earlier post) but I couldn't find it in HP's site.. Here in Sweden it is very rare to find these stuff. Could you help me find it as well from HP's? 🙂

You're very welcome.

I would love to visit Sweden and Finland one day.  I have some relatives in Sweden and many in Finland.

Please post back, and let us know if that wireless card worked for you.

Best Regards,

Paul
