Hi, I am a IT Technician.

I Have a notebook that belongs to a student, the notebook is no longer under warranty. The hard drive hailed and need to be replaced, after installing a new hard drive I tried to boot from a flashdrive and noticed it did not show as one of the device options in boot menu. I tried to go to the bios only to find it locked by and Admin. Is there any way around this? is there a way to reset the bios without having to change the chip?

Thanks in advance,

BS1

Hi Brenlon,

To get your issue more exposure I would suggest posting it in the commercial forums since this is a commercial product. You can do this at Commercial Forums.
You could reset the BIOS with this document selecting the reloading the BIOS default settings.

Thanks.
