 So my ProBook 4425s had no HDD LED light, only light was the power button (solid white), the wireless (amber, solid) and the Caps Lock key (slow blink, white, 5 times and then dark).

 

I followed the reset steps where I have a removable battery;  power down, unplug AC and any peripherals, removed the battery, and THIS TIME held the power button down for 15 seconds, not just a cursory press.  Then, put the battery in and plugged in the AC adapter.  Voila!  The laptop came to life, but with a message that the CMOS was corrupted and was going to reset itself.  Too fast, I could not get a picture of it for yinz here.
