Ordered a Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6235 because it appeared to be one of the oly ones that was dual band and had the 2x2 feature. My router of course needs to be upgraded to take advantage, but im at work and the wifi works. Thanks for the help.
Its a shame i had to upgrade a new wireless card, but it works. No more Ralink for me.

Oh My Goodness!!!!
It happened again. Logged back into my computer yesterday and after about 30secs the computer went dark and said dont turn off for updates. Updates finished, and the wifi did the same exact thing and would not connect; only associate-then disconnect to my work wifi. First restore 1min prior didnt work, so I took it back several hours where it said the changes that were made were to Windows Update. Not sure exactly what it changed, but its killing my wifi work experience, and that sucks. Either way it works for now, but I hate the feeling of having to watch my back for updates all the time. Wish HP would figure that out so it doesnt happen anymore

Hello again.
Have you tried manually installing the updates one at a time to determine which update is causing the issue?
