On the 12th of September, sgreen063 reported that he sent his Spectre back to HP and they replaced the battery. Can I please ask sgreen063 whether indeed this operation has solved the issue ?   Do you make extensive use of battery and did you have zero freezing incidences since you got the laptop back from HP ?

It seems that it is not the entire laptop that freezes, it's only a display. You can swith on and off for example caps lock  (and see the LED light coming on and off) or adjust volume. It only does not show up on display. What oiften helps when laptop freezes totally is to close and open the lid (put it to sleep).

Hey guys,

A few months ago I did the solution of KC_Syd and it completely fixed my freezing problem. But since I updated windows a few weeks ago, I got so many freezes. Like right now actually I can't even type easily this message because it's freezing a lot.

Does anyone have the same problem? Did the windows update made the computer have troubles again?
