Hello YSRK,

I would like to assist you with resolving the update issue on your HP Pavilion 15-e016tx Notebook PC.

  1. What is the operating system that your notebook is running? http://goo.gl/vEdbr
  2. Uninstall the HP Support Assistant that you have installed.
  3. Download and install the most up to date version of HP Support Assistant from here.

Let me know if this resolves the issue.

Thank you 🙂

Hello YSRK,

I'm glad you were able to get most of the updates installed. Next, what I would like to do is open Device Manager to see what is showing under "Network adapters". Click on the link below if you need assistance with opening Device Manager:

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-125308-1&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en...

Expand the "Network adapters" list and post back a screenshot of whatever is showing within there. The link below will provide you with steps on how to take and post a screenshot onto this forum:

Hello there,

My HP support assistant suddenly stopped working by poping up a window stating that hpsf.exe has stopped working and has to be closed. Every time I switch on the system it used to pop up, so i had no other option other than uninstalling it..Please looking forward for assistant:smileyhappy:

I have a red exclamation point on the Support Assistant icon. Message says important Bios update for the Intel processor,  but says the size is 0MB. I can download but it won't install (with zero MB to me that means there isn't anything there).  What is this update? Why is it zero MB, why won't it install and how important is that update?
