Abraxas74, what exactly did you return for replacement? The laptop or the G5 dock?

HP Recommended

As a further update to my situation, I recently had the screen replaced on warranty by HP.  During the repair, my computer was wiped and BIOS updated.  Out of the box after repair, my Spectre/G5 worked fine.  After updating the NVIDIA driver, my displays stopped working again.  I uninstalled the NVIDIA driver and reinstalled HP NVIDIA driver 26.21.14.4276 dated 2020-03-15 from the HP Support website and after a couple reboots, the monitors worked again.  I have not tried to update the NVIDIA drivers again, but some of them did work for me before my laptop was repaired.

I found a Reddit page that suggested this solution and another that mentioned NVIDIA had released a hotfix for this issue with some models of the Spectre x360.  I did not try the hotfix as the model number did not match mine.

Here is a thread from the NVIDIA boards as well.

Just some more pieces of this seemingly random puzzle with fingers pointing in multiple directions.
