Hallo,
I use a HP Pavilion dv8-1190eg with a HP Webcam. In some programs (webcam7, webcamXP 5) I can choose between HP Webcam and HP Webcam Splitter. What is and what does HP Webcam Splitter?

HP Webcam Splitter is a another instance of the HP webcam to work in instant messaging tools.
If your Instant Messenger client does not automatically recognize Webcam and allow you to use effects and tools, open the Video Settings interface in your client and in the webcam section select “HP Webcam Splitter”.
The following example demonstrates how to enable HP WebCam within Skype.
- In the Skype main window, select Skype > Privacy > General > Video Settings
- In this page, select HP Webcam Splitter from the select webcam drop-down menu.
- Click the Save button to save your changes and enable HP WebCam.
Regards,
Vidya
