In HP Support assistant, user guides I get the error “HP documentation: Not installed. Please download and install from http://www.hp.com/support” when clicking User guides. This has happened since day one. I visit the link but do not see how to install user guides.
I have searched support and not found anything to help me.

Hi Chris,
For some reason, your HP Support Assistant cannot pick up (detect) your computer's user guides.
You can circumvent (go around) the issue by using your computer's own webpage to seek out the information.
Start at
- Enter your computer's exact model
- Select from the availble results (click on your computer)
- When the main page opens, you can look for your computer's User Guides and any other manual available for it by clicking on Manuals or User Guides (tab).
You might be able to fix the HP Support Assistant
- Remove the HPSA from Programs and Features
- Restart / Reboot the computer and log in
- Install a new copy of the HP Support Assistant

It is a nice way to say “Thank You” for the help.
Although I strive to reflect HP's best practices, I do not work for HP.
