Hey,

I'm not really very tech-savvy so I may be being really stupid, but I have been having issues with my laptop fan, which evidently needs replacing. I've sent it off for repair with Currys & PC World but have been told repair is not feasible because they cannot find a compatible fan replacement. Upon a lot of searching, I have also not been able to find out which cooling fan I am supposed to have as there is no information on the HP site nor the European partners and my excessive googling is not yielding any success.

I guess I just wanted to know if anyone has any clue of which fans are compatible with my laptop? It is only just over a year old and I feel like I've been kinda duped here into wasting my money.

Thanks,

Sian

Hi,

I don't know why it is very hard to find machines with suffix na. I can't find part number for the fan alone on the second manual of the following link:

      https://support.hp.com/ro-en/product/hp-envy-15-w100-x360-convertible-pc/8499294/manuals

It may come with heatsink as a set. Please check configuration of your machine to find out the right part number and order from HP Store in the UK. Worse case, open the machine and get part number on the fan yourself.

Hope this helps.

Regards.

Hello,

I have gotten my laptop back from the repair service and apparently the fan is not damaged, the boot error is no longer appearing but the fan is still VERY noisy. I am unsure now as to whether or not this is an issue with the thermal sensors and how to proceed,

Thanks,

Sian
