Try installing the original video driver from the Recovery manager.

and Recovery manager is where ? do i need to install it or ? sorry not very familiar with  this stuff

You said you "installed a new system".

Does that mean you did a recovery or you did a clean install with an operating system ( with a Microsoft Windows 7 install DVD) other than the one that was delivered with your notebook PC?

The recovery manager is part of your recovery disk set or USB recovery media.

Did you make one or the other during the initial setup of your  notebook when the setup software  asked you to?

did a clean install of win 7 home version that i downloaded from internet , and no I dont have a recovery disk set or USB recovery media. Canit be that i installed a system containing some kind of bug and thats causing this problem ? If so then installing a clean win 7 with all the drivers from HP site for my laptop will resolve the problem ?

Download and install  the older version of the graphics driver. The download supplies drivers for both GPUs in your notebook and should allow you to switch between the High performance and Power-saving GPU.

Post your results here.

If you did not make a recovery disk set or recovery media and deleted the partitions during the install of the Windows Home then you really did yourself a disservice.

On the hard disk was the copy of the operating system and drivers that was delivered with your notebook.

You cannot download the OS from HP, you will have to buy a copy of the recovery disk set (@$30.00 USD) if you want the original OS and drivers/applications again.
