Hi
Yes that's true. they are different. Your system came with 500GB SATA II internal hard drive. you can go for SATA II type of hard drive. they are the type your mother board accepts.
The three types of SATA have different data transfer speeds, yours can transfer upto 3.0Gbps.
Important thing is the dimensions of hard drive you're going to choose so that it'll fit to the space. your system support 2.5" hard drive in 9.5mm and 7mm thickness as written in the use manual.
If you're going to replacement yourself take care not to loose the connector screw's, cable and caddy if any. they are needed for connecting back the new ones.
the HDDs I suggested earlier in this thread are of SATA II type transfer speed upto 3Gbps. go through that before buying.
you may go for that.
In the mean time, watch these video clips:

Hi @ranapankaj9,
Thank you for showing your interest in HP Support Forums. It is a great place to find the help you need, from other users, HP experts, and other support personnel. I came across your post and wanted to assist you. As I understand the computer isn't booting into windows anymore, instead you get the error message. Don't worry I'll try my best to help you with this,
You've performed the hardware test and it resulted with the failure ID, PU62W3-7RU8L3-MFPWMF-60WL03
Here's what the ID represents: Hard Disk 1 Quick Test Failure
This clearly indicates a hardware failure. I would recommend you will need to get the hard drive replaced, this can be done either using the HP Part store Or call the HP Phone support for a repair service.
If you wish to help others looking for the same solution as you've found, mark the post as Accepted Solution.
If you wish to show appreciation for my effort, please click the Thumbs up icon at the bottom of my comment.
And I Hope you have a good day, Ahead.
Regards,
