I went to change my pictures for the lock screen and the account and everytime I try to change it, it gives me a message saying "Account/Lock screen picture error. Setting the account/lock screen failed. Please try again." I'll try to put the default pictures just to see if that would work and no matter what I do, it will not change. It's so aggravating. What can I do?

Hello NYMixedChic331, welcome to the HP Forums.
I see that you're looking to change the picture for your account/lock screen on your notebook. I would like to help you with this.
Could you start by providing the following:
Model and Product numbers for your notebook.
Currently installed operating system on your notebook.
The above information would allow me to better assist you with this issue.
I look forward to your reply.
Thank you for posting on the HP Forums.

Hi,
Thank you for providing the above information.
To ensure the fault behind the error is not with Windows, I'd recommend doing a system refresh to start. Refresh Your PC to Resolve Problems (Windows 8).
And just as reference when trying to set the lock/account screen afterwards, here are two Microsoft documents:
See pictures on the desktop, Start, and the lock screen
Personalize your PC
I hope this helps, let me know how it goes.
Thanks.
